About Cory
As a kid, I played baseball and lived an extremely active lifestyle. I enjoyed things like most kids do; Skateboarding, biking, and just being a kid. When I was in high school I started playing music with some local bands, and my lifestyle started changing. I signed a record deal in my early 20’s with my band, Woe Is Me. We spent 9-10 months a year touring the world, and I quickly replaced activity with a sedentary lifestyle, beer, cigarettes, fast food and other unhealthy habits.
My
Story
Years went by living this life style, and one day I looked at myself in the mirror and couldn’t believe the man who was looking back at me. I had a gut and my skin looked horrible. I was tired. I was unhappy. Little things like walking up the stairs, or even exploring new cities had become difficult.
I decided at this point, something had to change. I started working out and trying to live a healthier life style. My entire mindset switched. Instead of prioritizing the bars with some friends, I was going to bed early to make my morning workouts. Instead of eating pizza at night, I was meal prepping. Everything in my life started to change for the better.
My
history
In 2019 I went back to school at the National Academy of Sports Medicine. In 2020 I was laid off at my full time job due to covid. I felt a huge hole in my life and old tendencies starting to creep back. I started offering my training services free of charge for those who felt the same way. It was a dark time for many, and I knew fitness could help others as it had helped me. January 2021 I decided that this was my purpose in life. I wanted nothing more than to change peoples live’s with a little bit of self care. Thus, Ferris Fitness was born. Over the past years I’ve had the privilege of helping countless individuals in their fitness journey and I couldn’t be more thankful for where Ferris Fitness is today.
